Joseph Jude Brien circa 2017

Would you like to set up your own workbench and just don’t know how to get started? Do you have a few projects around the house that you just can’t seem to complete? Are you an artist who needs insightful critique and technical assistance?

Let me help.

For the homeowner and artisan one of the first projects may involve building simple shelving. Once we get your work space organized - be it a whole garage or a small corner of the basement, we can begin to tackle projects at your pace.

I strive to help artists materialize their three-dimensional visions. l offer technical support in structural fabrication, fastening techniques, finishing, as well as assessment, review and commentary on work-in-progress. Past collaborations have included: large-scale architectural sculpture, assemblage and bricolage, furniture and cabinet design and photography.

We can meet just a few times, or regularly - whatever your schedule and interests dictate.

Artisan projects range from building a bird house to hand cutting dovetails. Learn at your own pace.
